Sirmione peninsula tour

Our tour begins right in front of Sirmione's majestic medieval castle.

We start out with a 30 minute private boat tour around Sirmione's peninsula. Discovering Sirmione from the water, away from the bustle of the old town is the best way to enjoy the uniqueness of this small lake village.

The view is breathtaking: green hills, high mountains and clear waters. It is not hard to understand why Sirmione has been loved for centuries not only by ordinary travellers, but also by famous people who lived here, such as the Roman poet Catullus and, in more recent times, the soprano Maria Callas.

Once the boat tour is complete, we enter Sirmione's old town passing through the medieval castle and we take a stroll along the peninsula, discovering beautiful places and hidden corners off the beaten track. We journey to its most extreme tip, where the Archeological site of Grotte di Catullo (or Grottoes of Catullus) is located. This is the largest Roman villa in northern Italy. While visiting the ruins of the villa you will be able to fully immerse yourselves in its glorious past, reconstructing its imposing structure and discovering the 2000 years old stories and lives.
